2022 - 2023
In the beginning, I worked as a frontend web developer and created many projects to improve my skills, which you can check on my GitHub. Then, I built more advanced projects that were purely frontend-based. During that time, my focus was on frontend development and UI design. For UI design, I created advanced-level clones like Netflix and Flipkart. You can find the code for both of these projects on my GitHub, and we've also hosted these websites on GitHub Pages. After that, since frontend development involves not just UI but also frontend logic, I developed several projects that are web applications based on frontend technologies, such as a quiz game, weather app, weather app v2 (an advanced version), color-catching game, guessing game, theme switcher, and a to-do list with some added functionality like create, update, read, and delete tasks. I've also added features like marking tasks as complete, filtering the to-do list by completed tasks, incomplete tasks, and viewing all tasks, as well as an age calculator. After building all these projects, I developed a solid foundation in frontend development. All the projects mentioned above, whether focused on UI or logic, were written using React.js. I used Bootstrap in some of them, while others were styled with raw CSS.
2022 - 2023
I have learned cybersecurity, specifically web penetration testing, and have found some bugs on platforms like Bugcrowd. I've also done bug hunting and earned several certifications in this field.
2024 - 2025
After learning frontend development, I shifted to cybersecurity. When I studied cybersecurity, which includes advanced-level networking, I approached backend development differently, often with more awareness than other developers because I was already an ethical hacker and well-versed in security measures. I learned backend development using Node.js, Express.js, MongoDB, and Mongoose. After mastering backend development, I created projects and complete full-fledged websites. First, I developed the Chatflix website, which is essentially a notebook application with backend functionality, including authentication mechanisms, sign-up and sign-in APIs, and middleware. Users can add, update, and delete their notes. For this project, I used backend libraries like bcryptjs, JSON Web Token, Express Validator, etc. This was a decent-level project. Afterward, I decided to create a more advanced project that combined both advanced frontend and backend. I developed the Cyber Hunter website, which is a blog website, and hosted it on Vercel and GitHub. This project is at an advanced level and includes basic features like adding, updating, viewing, and deleting blog posts, all connected to the backend. In addition to these basic features, I implemented intermediate-level features like a search function and filtering by category. I also added pagination and advanced features like an admin/profile page for each user who logs in, the ability to make posts private or public, and only public posts are shown to non-logged-in users. Users can filter public and private posts in their profiles, like posts, comment on them, and share them. These details (likes, comments) are visible to all, but only logged-in users can like or comment. I also gave users the option to create their profiles, including a profile picture and info, update their profiles, and reset their passwords. For password resets, we implemented security measures where users receive a token via email for authentication. Users can add images to posts, use tags, choose categories, and even dislike posts, among many other features. After all this, I am currently working as a freelance frontend developer and MERN-stack developer.
